Yoga is the original hot yoga. This therapeutic sequence of 26
yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises [developed by Bikram Choudhury]
systematically works every part of the body. Bikram Yoga stimulates
the organs, glands and nerves, moving fresh oxygenated blood to
100 percent of the body, restoring all systems to a healthy working
order. In class you will combine the skills of concentration,
patience, determination, and self-control, which will lead you
to a powerful mind/body connection, increased mental clarity,
and reduced stress. Suitable for all ability levels, no prior
experience or flexibility is necessary. To help your body warm
up and access the connective tissues while detoxing the body,
the room heated to 105 degrees with 40% humidity. Class duration:

This class is not appropriate for 1st time Bikram students/those

is a passive style of yoga that incorporates longer holds [between
2 - 6 minutes] to release the fascia [connective tissues] and
to quiet the mind. Yin is mainly done sitting or lying on your
mat and is a complimentary practice to the more active styles
of yang yoga (Bikram, Vinyasa) and for those who participate in
high-energy workouts [Inferno Hot Pilates]. Expect lots of slow
stretching, deep breathing, and a focus on mind/body connection.
Class duration: 60 minutes.
Hot Pilates is the art of controlled movements, which should
look and feel like a workout (not a therapy). This fun, high-intensity,
low-impact class will improve your flexibility, build strength
and help you to develop control and endurance in your entire
body. Emphasis in class is placed on alignment, breathing, developing
a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. The exercises
can be modified in difficulty from beginner to advanced. The
room is heated to 95 degrees. Class duration: 60 minutes.
Raja Yoga. Unique to the Anuttara Shala and its certified teachers,
this style will leave the student extremely relaxed. It encompasses
a gravitational surrender in yoga poses to access the connective
tissue. It is perfect for beginners as well as advanced students.
Practiced in a warm room. 90 minutes of bliss.
begins with Hatha, the yoga of muscular engagement, then gently
transforms into Anuttara Raja, the yoga of disengagement. You
will leave feeling energized and completely de-stressed. All levels.

is a form of Hatha Yoga that flows through the Sun Salutations.
This practice is cardiovascular and graceful. You move the body
from a Pose, into a Counterpose, ending with the Repose, representing
the three qualities of Nature so as to safely access the body
and all systems. We do a set of sequences and "Echo"
(Visarga) in the subsequent sequence. All levels. Practiced
in a warm room. Class duration: 75 minutes.
